A napkin is the one piece of tabletop packaging every guest touches. For restaurants, cafés, wedding planners, and distributors, a custom-printed napkin is the cheapest branding real estate you will ever buy — and it survives the wash-free, single-use economy better than any menu insert. This guide explains how to order logo napkins from a China factory without surprises.
Why Branded Napkins Work
Printed napkins reinforce identity at the moment of consumption. A café with a monogram napkin, a hotel with a crested dinner napkin, a wedding with the couple's initials — these details read as intentionality. They also travel: guests take them home, post them, and associate the mark with the experience. For distributors and promotional-product resellers, custom napkins are a high-margin, repeat-order catalog line.
Printing Methods: Flexo, Offset, and Digital
Three processes dominate custom napkin production. Choosing the right one depends on color count, run size, and registration precision.
| Method | Best for | MOQ | Color |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flexographic (flexo) | High-volume, 1–2 spot colors, edge-to-edge patterns | 5,000 pcs | Spot (Pantone) |
| Offset (litho) | Photo-grade, multi-color logos, fine detail | 10,000+ pcs | CMYK process |
| Digital | Prototypes, very short runs, variable data | 500–2,000 pcs | Full color |
For most B2B buyers, flexo is the sweet spot: it handles a clean logo or monogram in one or two brand colors at the lowest per-unit cost and the standard 5,000-piece MOQ.
Design Guidelines That Prevent Rejection
- Minimum line weight 0.5 pt. Thinner strokes disappear or bleed on tissue.
- Limit to 1–2 spot colors for flexo. Every added color adds a plate and setup cost.
- Keep critical marks inside the safe zone — at least 8 mm from the napkin edge to avoid trim loss.
- Provide 3 mm bleed for edge-to-edge patterns.
- Vector files (AI / PDF / EPS) beat raster. If you only have a PNG, supply it at 300 dpi minimum.

Material Choice: Tissue or Airlaid?
Custom print works on both 2-ply/3-ply tissue and airlaid nonwoven. Tissue is economical and the default for promotional and event use. Airlaid gives a cloth-like canvas that makes the print feel premium — ideal for hotels and upscale venues. View a sample custom logo napkin →
The Ordering Process, Step by Step
- Send artwork. Share your logo/design and target napkin size (33/40/45 cm).
- Receive a quote. We return EXW/FOB pricing, MOQ confirmation, and lead time (typically 7–15 days production).
- Approve a digital proof. A flat proof shows placement, scale, and color.
- Order a physical sample. A press sample from a real run confirms color and registration before bulk.
- Production. Plates are made (or reused), then the full run prints and packs.
- QC & shipping. We inspect, palletize, and ship by sea (25–35 days) or air (5–10 days).

MOQ and Cost Notes
Custom printed napkins start at 5,000 pieces per design — matching our standard MOQ. Per-unit price drops sharply as quantity rises; combining multiple SKUs into one container spreads setup cost. Pantone color matching is available for brand-exact tones.
