We are a napkin manufacturer in Yiwu, Zhejiang, producing 2,000,000 napkins a day across a 12,000 m² plant. We supply importers, distributors, hotel groups and restaurant chains in 40+ countries on FOB Ningbo and Shanghai terms, with a 5,000-piece minimum per design.
China remains the dominant origin for disposable table napkins because the full supply chain sits in one region: airlaid and tissue base stock, water-based flexo printing, die-cutting, folding and poly-packing all happen within a short radius. That concentration is what makes small minimums economically viable. A mill that also converts its own base stock can run a 5,000-piece print job without the setup costs that a trading company would pass through.
The practical question for a buyer is not whether to import, but whether you are talking to a factory or a trading company. A trading company quotes from a catalogue it does not control; when the mill is busy, your lead time slips and you find out late. A factory tells you which line your order is running on, and what happens if that line goes down.

Napkins are bulky and light, which means freight is driven by volume, not weight. A 40HQ container of folded napkins hits volume limits long before weight limits. This is why most first orders from new buyers are LCL or a shared container, and why quoting only on FOB per-piece price is misleading — the number that matters is landed cost per 1,000 napkins at your warehouse.
From Ningbo, typical transit is 3–7 days to Japan, 12–18 days to the US West Coast, 25–35 days to Northern Europe, and 18–25 days to the Middle East. We quote FOB and can arrange CIF or DDP through our forwarders, but we recommend buyers who already have a freight partner keep their own — it keeps the landed cost transparent.
Export napkins for food contact need to satisfy the destination market, not the origin market. For the EU this means food-contact framework compliance and, where claimed, FSC chain-of-custody documentation. For the US, FDA food-contact substance compliance for the base stock and inks. We keep current test reports and can provide them per shipment rather than per enquiry. See our certifications guide for what to ask for and what a genuine report looks like.
We are the manufacturer. Our converting plant in Yiwu, Zhejiang covers 12,000 m² and runs airlaid and tissue napkin lines with in-house flexo printing. Our business licence scope is manufacturing, and we are happy to do a live video walk of the line during your working hours.
5,000 pieces per design for custom printed work, and 5,000 pieces per SKU for stock napkins. Many mills in this category require a full container; we can run short runs because we hold base stock in the grade our regular buyers use.
Ningbo and Shanghai, both within a few hours of the plant. We quote FOB by default and can arrange CIF or DDP. Transit is roughly 3-7 days to Japan, 12-18 days to the US West Coast and 25-35 days to Northern Europe.
Yes. We print water-based flexo and match to Pantone references. On airlaid substrate, expect a small shift from the coated-swatched reference because the material absorbs differently — we send a printed proof on the actual substrate before the run so you approve what the napkin will really look like.
Yes. We hold current food-contact test reports for our base stock and inks, and can provide FSC chain-of-custody documentation where the order is placed on certified material. We prefer to issue the report with the shipment rather than send a generic PDF, so the document matches what was actually produced.
