What Is a Cocktail Napkin? Sizes, Uses & Buying Guide

A cocktail napkin is a small disposable napkin — usually 4×4 in (10×10 cm) or 5×5 in (12×12 cm) — used at bars, parties and events to set under drinks, catch drips and serve small bites. Also called a beverage napkin or bar napkin, it is the smallest napkin in a foodservice range and is built for frequent, low-cost use rather than the main table setting.

Paper vs airlaid cocktail napkins

Standard tissue cocktail napkins are the budget default and ideal for volume. Airlaid cocktail napkins feel like linen, hold a crisp fold and read as premium — the right choice for upscale weddings and branded VIP service. Both print cleanly from a 5,000-piece minimum.
