What Is a Lint-Free Napkin? (And When You Need One)
A lint-free napkin is a napkin or towel engineered to release almost no loose fibres when used — wet or dry. In hospitality, "lint" is the fuzz that clings to glassware, cutlery and stainless steel after wiping. A lint-free product leaves surfaces spotless and signals proper hygiene.
What makes a napkin lint-free?
Lint comes from loosely bonded fibres. Lint-free formats use airlaid or spunlace nonwoven and specially processed paper that hold their fibres firmly. Standard tissue can shed more, especially when wet.
Where you need lint-free napkins
- Bars and beverage service — spotless wine glasses and cocktail coupes.
- Back-of-house wiping — C-fold, Z-fold and V-fold towels for stainless steel.
- Front-of-house guest towels — a clean, fibre-free touch.
All of our lint-free formats are produced with food-grade, low-migration ink and meet food-contact compliance. See the Lint-Free Restaurant Napkins guide or the Lint-Free Foodservice Napkins category for sizes and MOQ.
